Relating to the events at this meeting, In conversation with Mark Degnan (Scottish Marshalls Association) we agree the need to find common ground to advance for the good of the sport.
The comments posted on various networks are not doing the sport in general or clubs any favours within the organisations. Lessons on all sides have been learned from that meeting.
In an effort to move forward officials of the NEMCRC and representatives of Knockhill Race Circuit met recently to discuss the clubs forthcoming race weekend at that circuit.
Knockhill offered the assistance of the Circuits SACU licensed officials led by Clerk of the Course (Ian Forrest) to run our meeting on June 30/July 1st 2012, with the arrangement extended to our East Fortune meeting in October 2012. We accepted their proposals.
We hope that this demonstrates the NEMCRC commitment to our members and riders to move forward within an enthusiastic and safe environment within our sport for the benefit of rider’s marshal’s official’s spectators and all involved.
